Cumbria Crack:
Police are investigating two counts of assault which occurred at 7:45pm on Friday 27 June on the line cycle path between Distington and Workington. The victims, both male, aged 17 and 19-year-old were approached by two other males on push bikes before being assaulted.

A teenager has appeared in court for helping a friend get away when the police were looking for him. Peter Jamal Kent, 19, drove 20-year-old Stephen McDowell away, knowing he was wanted for questioning about an alleged assault on his partner.

A police officer is due to appear before a Crown Court judge charged with offences of rape and indecent assault allegedly committed in Stratford-upon-Avon and Cumbria. Nicholas Doherty, from Barrow-in-Furness, was charged by Warwickshire Police in March.

Police are investigating an assault which occurred in The Vibe on Botchergate in Carlisle. The incident occurred at approx 2am on Sunday 13 July. Two men were bitten by another man in the toilet area of the club.

A man from Penrith has been sentenced for assault by beating. Michael Jacques, aged 50 from Sandgate, Penrith, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 140 days in prison (suspended for 12 months), £150 compensation, £190 costs and 60 hours unpaid work

Police have released an image of a person they would like to speak to in connection with an assault. During the early hours of Saturday 5th July 2014 inside Club Rock, Englishgate Plaza, Carlisle a man, aged 24 from Carlisle, was assaulted. He sustained facial injuries.

Police are investigating an incident which occurred on Lowther Street in Whitehaven at approx 10pm on Wednesday 13 August.
Two men are believed to have been assaulted.
Two men in their early 20s have been arrested for public order offences, however the victims of the assault left the scene before the police arrived.
